We have had Bouviers since July 1976 when we purchased a black female
Bouvier, Misty. She was so warm-hearted and would do anything for her
family. She was the perfect Bouvier in every way. We enjoyed her wonderful
presence for ten years.
Misty had one litter of pups and we kept a male, Wolf, who belonged to our
daughter, Stacy. He lived until ten years of age. We sent a
female from Misty's litter to our very close friend,
Belinda (at the time she was in California and we were in Michigan). Belinda
named her sweet girl Brandie. You guessed it -- Brandie had a litter of pups
and one female puppy came back to us.
Calli was a beautiful black brindle
full of character and love. When we moved from Michigan to Alaska in October
1988, Calli came with us. She was with our family for twelve years
when she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in 1996.
At present we have three Bouviers:
Slomoshun "Silver" Ursa Major CGC,
HIC, our six and one-half year old male, and then we have the girls, both
AKC champions,
Sleeping Lady's "Spirit" Love, CD, CGC,
and
Sleeping Lady's
"Sassy" Lassy, NAJ, OJC, NGC, CGC, HIC. We are very busy with conformation,
obedience, agility, herding, and tracking, most of which is very limited
showing in Alaska. It is wonderful working with this devoted breed of
dogs.
